This document describes minimum requirements for the FirstClass client software for Mac OS.
Requirements
This FirstClass® Client for Mac OS requires:
- 68030 processor (or better)
- Macintosh System 8.5 (or later)
- Color QuickDraw
Without FirstClass Personal a minimum of 3 MB available RAM (4 MB
for Power Macintosh with Virtual Memory off)
With FirstClass Personal a minimum of 5 MB available RAM (6 MB for
Power Macintosh with Virtual Memory off)
Without FirstClass Personal a minimum of 6 MB free disk space
With FirstClass Personal a minimum of 8 MB free disk space
To install the FirstClass client software for Mac OS:
Click to download
FC6011US.HQX
Download to a directory where you can find the program ' FC6011US.HQX' to double click on the setup file.
1. To start the installer double-click its icon.(in the directory you downloaded the software to)
2. Read License and click 'NEXT' when ready.
3. Choose the 'Easy' install.
4. Follow the prompts (Defaults Recommended).
5. Restart your computer.
After the install is finished and you reboot your computer
1. Open your hard drive by double clicking on the hard drive icon on your desktop
2. Find and open the First Class folder.
3. Select the first Class Icon by clicking on it ONCE. Press the Command (apple) Key and the "m" key down together making sure that the First Class Icon is selected and an alias (Copy) of it will appear.
4. Move this alias ot your desktop and double click on it to start First Class.
5. You will get a message to configure the connection. Click 'OK'
6. Service Setup screen.
Connect via --> Select TCP-IP.FCP from list
UserID: --> Enter your userid (userid@SNDdeN.org)
Do not enter your userid and password if you
share a computer or are in a Lab.
Server -->Enter 'sndden.org'
7. Press 'Save'
8. Enter your Userid and Password and press Login.
