Opening new insights to understanding is the challenge taken up each day by the Sisters of Notre Dame ... a challenge we have been involved in since the day our foundress, St. Julie Billiart, opened a free school for poor children in 1806. We have been teaching ever since and you will find us in all kinds of educational settings ... from diocesan schools and Montessori programs to religious education programs for adults and children in parishes and elsewhere around the world.
