SND affiliate member and Notre Dame Americorps volunteer, Amanda Patton, helps a youngster from Corryville Catholic Elementary School in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, work on a math problem. The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur have been engaged in ministry at this school since its founding in 1877.

Notre Dame Mission Volunteers — Americorps

Since 1994, Notre Dame Americorps has participated in holistic educational programs for at-risk children and adults in economically disadvantaged communities in the United States. The program targets children in Head Start and school settings as well as adults who are high school dropouts in need of a GED, literacy, or parenting skills.
