Sisters of Notre Dame in Peru
SND foundation established in 1970

We have 11 Sisters of Notre Dame in this country. Members of this group hail from Peru, Britain and the United States. There are also women in Peru who are discerning vowed life as Sisters of Notre Dame. As is the case with many of their Sisters around the world, our Sisters in Peru work in multiple jobs to reach as many people as possible.

There is tremendous poverty in Peru. For example, in some places the same water is used at least twice— once to wash dishes and again to flush the toilet. Without food stamps or welfare, those who cannot work literally cannot feed their families. Yet in the midst of overwhelming need, there is hope and a strong faith in God.

Our Sisters' ministries in Peru include: teaching, working with families and communities in social and spiritual service, organizational administration, nursing, prison ministry and more.

Ministries in Peru:

• Education
• Social Service
